Post-Doctoral Position in Space Biomechanics

We are seeking a qualified individual to facilitate collaboration between two investigators funded by the National Space Biomedical Research Institute. Dr. Vincent Caiozzo at The University of California, Irvine, is the PI on a project, Hypergravity Resistance Training: Countermeasure to Microgravity, to develop the Space Cycle -a human powered centrifuge that can be used to provide cardiovascular and musculoskeletal loads by generating various levels of artificial gravity. Dr. Peter Cavanagh in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation is collaborating on this project and he is seeking a post-doctoral fellow who would be based in Cleveland to work on modeling, measurement, and analysis of Space Cycle data.

Applicants should have a background in human biomechanics and appropriate engineering skills to accomplish the goals of the project.
