Title: Postdoctoral Associate (1 position available)
Location: MIT Media Laboratory, MIT, Cambridge, MA 02139
Date: August 19, 2004

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join the Biomechatronics Group
at the MIT Media Laboratory for a 2 year period. Our research objectives
aim at advancing muscle stimulation and control technologies in the fields
of rehabilitation, functional electrical stimulation and biomechatronics.

Our work is highly interdisciplinary. An ideal candidate will have Ph.D.
level research experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Biomechanics and neuromuscular physiology (preferably experimental)
- Control systems engineering and/or system identification
- Working knowledge of neuromuscular stimulation technologies

Responsibilities include designing and implementing experimental
investigations on animal derived muscle (in-vitro, and perhaps in-vivo).
For applicants with background/interest in control, additional
responsibilities may include development, analysis and testing of control

Starting salary is commensurate with level of education and experience. A
