Post-doctoral Research Fellow in NEURAL CONTROL OF HUMAN MOVEMENT
School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences
Deakin University, Australia

A position is available in the Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory at
Deakin University (Melbourne Campus) to participate in research that will
examine the influence of altered physical activity levels (fatigue,
training, immobilization) on the neural control of movement in humans. The
research program is funded by the National Health and Medical Research
Council of Australia and involves the use of neurophysiological techniques
such as single motor unit recording and transcranial magnetic
stimulation. For appointment, applicants require a PhD in exercise
science/kinesiology, physiology, neuroscience or related discipline, and
have experience in collection and analysis of neurophysiological signals
such as electromyography.
* Salary Package $39,065 - $66,305 p.a. (plus 9% superannuation). The
salary will depend on the applicant's experience.

* The position will begin January 2005, is full time and fixed term for
12 months with a possibility for renewal contingent upon funding
