Graduate Assistantship in Applied Biomechanics available in Human Performance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse

Graduate Program in Human Performance
The Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science - Human Performance is a multidisciplinary program of advanced study designed to prepare graduates for a career in one of the following areas: 1) fitness, 2) strength and conditioning. Graduate Assistantship (GA) in Biomechanics
Exercise and sport science is offering a 33% time graduate assistantship to provide research and teaching support in the Biomechanics lab. A candidate with a strong interest and some experience in biomechanics is desired. Computer and basic programming skills are a plus. Questions regarding this assistantship should be directed to Dr. Tom Kernozek, Department of Health Professions-Physical Therapy Program at kernozek.thom@uwlax.edu

Biomechanics Laboratory
The Biomechanics Laboratory with the Physical Therapy Program is in the Health Science Center at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. The 1,800 square foot research space is equipped with a 6-camera motion analysis system, 2 force platforms, electromagnetic tracking system, pressure measurement systems, and electromyography. This laboratory serves as teaching and research space for the Physical Therapy program and collaborative research efforts in Biomechanics with Exercise and Sports Science and the Undergraduate Biomedical Concentration in Physics.
