Title: Senior Engineer III

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This individual will be involved with several aspects of preclinical
research, and will be interacting with a multidisciplinary group of scientists and
engineers involved in regenerative medicine of connective tissues. Specifically,
our group is involved in several research projects aimed at the discovery and
development of new therapeutic interventions for the treatment of cartilage
and intervertebral disc diseases and injuries. We are seeking an individual with
experience in functional characterization of connective tissue or tissue
engineered constructs. Experience in the study of biological response to
mechanical induction or stimulation of cell or tissue is a plus, as well as good
understanding of state of the art molecular characterization such as gene expression
profiling, protein and nucleic acid assays. Experience in fabricating or
utilizing a wide range of synthetic and bio-polymers for tissue engineering would
also complement well our team. Responsibilities will include : Design,
execution and report of relevant experiments. Development of bioanalytical methods
to support specific characterization of tissue and implant. The individual will
be expected to drive many functional characterizations of our tissue
engineering programs. Project management of pre-clinical studies
