Dear Biomchs,

I have a question regarding control over isometric force matching task
with increasing and decreasing forces.
What mechanisms are responsible for the observation that matching an
increasing force produces less variability than matching a decreasing
force. So it seems that recruiting motorunits is a smoother process than
decruiting them. One such responsible mechanism could be the role of
plateau potentials of the motoneurons. Do you know other possibilities?
