The University of Michigan, Division of Kinesiology currently has a two
year post-doctoral position available in the Human Neuromechanics
Laboratory. The post-doctoral researcher will study motor adaptation during
human walking using robotic lower limb orthoses under proportional
myoelectric control. Equipment used will include Motion Analysis motion
capture system, AMTI force platforms, Konigsberg Instruments
electromyography system, Visual3D software, MATLAB and Simulink software,
and dSPACE real-time control hardware.

The candidate will be expected to design and conduct experiments, analyze
data, prepare manuscripts for publication, and participate at national
level conferences. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter,

Necessary Qualifications: Ph.D. in biomechanics, biomedical engineering,
neuroscience, kinesiology, or mechanical engineering. Experience with gait
analysis, robotics, and motor learning. Must possess excellent verbal and
written communications skills, and work well in a team setting. Desired
Qualifications: Experience with three-dimensional motion analysis systems,
force platforms, electromyography, and related software (Matlab, Visual 3D)
is highly desirable.
