Chair of Rehabilitation Science
The University at Buffalo (UB) is seeking an energetic,
visionary, and experienced individual to Chair its Department of
Rehabilitation Science which includes the academic units of Occupational
Therapy and Physical Therapy. The Department offers degrees in
Occupational Therapy (BS/MS and Advanced Master's), Physical Therapy (DPT),
Rehabilitation Science (PhD), and a Certificate in Assistive
Technology. The Department encompasses a broad array of US Department of
Education and NIDRR-funded Research and Educational Programs in
Rehabilitation, Assistive Technology and Aging.
UB is seeking a nationally established and recognized
individual with a viable research program and an educational commitment to
the development of future professionals who will make substantive
contributions to rehabilitation care. Basic qualifications for each
applicant must include: (1) an earned doctorate degree in a field related
to rehabilitation sciences; (2) a viable record of conducting extramurally
reviewed and funded research projects, and/or programs; (3) a publication
record that reflects acceptance of a candidate's contributions by peers;
and (4) evidence that a candidate has well-developed interpersonal and
leadership skills. Academic experience within an accredited professional
education program and clinical experience in a field related to
rehabilitation sciences is desirable.
