BIOMECHANICS RESEARCH STUDENTSHIP
UNIVERSITY OF BATH, UK

(~ 12,000 with yearly increment plus UK/EU student tution fees)

The Sport and Exercise Science Research group within the School for Health
has a biomechanics related PhD studentship available starting in October
2005 (or soon thereafter) for three years. The project is directed by Dr Aki
Salo, a BASES accredited biomechanist based at the University of Bath.

The Sport and Exercise Science Research Group is seeking an individual to
undertake applied research preferably in the area of modelling sprint start
in athletics. The successful applicant must have at least a good first
degree (upper second or first) in Sport and Exercise Science or a related
discipline including a strong grounding in biomechanics.
The successful applicant will be required to:
Register for an MPhil/PhD at the University of Bath. The research
work programme will be designed to underpin the scientific principles within
the biomechancis discipline.
If applicable, register for BASES Supervised Experience and work
towards BASES Scientific Support Accreditation in biomechanics.
