Dear All

I have several 2nd year sport and exercise science student here at the
University of Limerick (Ireland) who are currently exploring their options
for a cooperative education placement in 2006 (from approx February to
August).

Their major interests are biomechanics, both clinical and sports related,
although general sport science and/or related human science would be
acceptable. The students are of a good academic standing (bordering between
a 1st class and a high 2:1 degree classification.

They are looking for a lab-based work placement and may be willing to travel
almost anywhere for the right opportunity, the placement will preferably
carry payment, minimum UL sanctioned payment is approximately EUR175 per
week. Prior to the placement semester they will have completed 4 modules in
biomechanics, including A&K, basic quantitative biomechanics, advanced
qualitative biomechanics, and a module in advanced quantitative
biomechanics. They all have strong skills in motion analysis, force plate
work, EMG etc.

If you require a student to work on a research project for 6 months or so in
2005 or if you need an extra hand around your laboratory this may be a good
opportunity for both my student and your lab.

Please reply to me with any ideas or placement opportunities.

More information regarding the Universities COOP placement program can be
obtained from http://www.ul.ie/careers/ .
