Applications are welcomed from suitably-qualified applicants with relevant teaching experience in biomechanics. Candidates must have a strong interest in sport, exercise and activity. In addition you will have teaching experience in a relevant area and be able to demonstrate an interest in research. Good interpersonal and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work successfully as a member of a team.

This post is available from 1 September 2005.

The School has a well-established undergraduate Sport Science and Exercise teaching programme, with Single Honours degrees in Sport Science and Physiology, Sport Science, Exercise Science, and Sport Science and Outdoors Activities. Considerable resources are being deployed to enhance and strengthen the research profile of the School, with a complete refurbishment of facilities to be completed by April 2006. As a constituent part of the Faculty of Biological Sciences (5 in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise), the School benefits from associations with strong research groups within the Faculty as well as cross-Faculty links with Psychology, Education, Medicine, and Mechanical Engineering.
