Lectureship in Biomedical Engineering

Salary Range: 27,989-30,363 (Lecturer B)



Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Biomedical Engineering within the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, available from November 2005. Candidates should hold, or be close to holding, a relevant PhD and should be able to demonstrate a strong research record along with international research potential. Candidates with research interests in one (or more) of the areas of assistive technology, human movement analysis, orthopaedic biomechanics and physiological measurement are encouraged, but applicants with interests in other areas of biomedical engineering will be considered. The successful applicant will teach on postgraduate and undergraduate programmes within the School of Engineering, and so must be able to make a substantive contribution to teaching in biomechanics or instrumentation/signal processing.



The Centre for Biomedical Engineering is an established activity in the School of Engineering with interests covering a broad range of research and teaching programmes. Currently, these bring together over 30 members of staff and research students. An extensive network of clinical links also supports the work of the Centre.
