In our laboratory we use a Flash in order synchonize two or more cameras. I mean when the cameras start to record there is a person who pushes just a button to turn on that flash then both cameras in one frame can get that flash. so we can start from the fram that appears in both cameras.
Hope it would help.

Dear all:

I am trying to synchronize two digital video cameras with the Qualysis
system for gait collection.. The problem is that when I plug both
cameras on the qualysis computer, so the collection will start together,
the computer gets very slow. In addition the fire wire or usb
connections that I could get are not long enough turning very hard to
place the cameras in better spots.

When the cameras are not connected to the qualysis computer, there is
always a delay in recording the data, making almost impossible to
synchronize the instruments on voice commands or anything else.

Does anybody has a suggestion? Something simple that allow me to
synchronize the information without delays?

Thank you,
