This year?s Society for Neuroscience Meeting will be held in Washington DC Nov 12 ? 16. To properly welcome you to our Nation?s Capitol, attendees are invited to an open house at the National Rehabilitation Hospital where you can tour the labs of the Center for Applied Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Research (CABRR). Here, you will have an opportunity to see some of the devices CABRR is using and developing, including the Lokomat robotic-gait orthosis, IM2 upper extremity robot, ADAL 3D split belt treadmill with force plates, Codamotion motion capture system and more.

In addition to the lab tours, Dr. Gery Colombo, the inventor of the Lokomat, will deliver a short talk about the history and future of the device, while Dr. Joe Hidler will discuss some of the new development projects his lab is working on, including an over-ground gait training system and instrumented test devices that are being used during fMRI studies.

If you are interested in attending the NRH open house, please email Dr. Joe Hidler at hidler@cua.edu. You can find more information on CABRR research at http://cabrr.cua.edu.
