The Musculoskeletal Mechanics and Materials Laboratory in the Department of
Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Case Western Reserve University in
Cleveland, Ohio invites applications for the position of research
technician. Ongoing research in the laboratory is directed toward
understanding of the development and treatment of osteoporosis concentrating
on bone mechanics and adaptation. Responsibilities include management of
experimental equipment and performing and coordinating experiments with
graduate students, staff and faculty.

The Musculoskeletal Mechanics and Materials Laboratory has been at the
forefront of orthopaedic research for over 30 years. Qualified candidates
will have earned a bacheloršs and/or masteršs degree in mechanical
engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field. Job requirements
include laboratory management, materials testing of biological tissues,
handling experimental animals as well and image analysis. Previous
experience with these specific techniques is preferred but not necessary.
