The Laboratory for Equine and Comparative Orthopedic Research (LECOR) has
openings for graduate students working toward the PhD degree. The focus of
the laboratory is applied biomechanics for the treatment and diagnosis of
comparative orthopedic pathology associated with aging, trauma, or
development. Evaluation techniques include cellular molecular genetic and
compositional analysis, histology, biomechanical testing, kinetics, and
kinematics. Additionally, design and implementation of medical devices is a
key function in the laboratory. Acceptance as a graduate student at
Louisiana State University in the department of Veterinary Clinical
Sciences is required. Information on the Louisiana State University
