Dear Colleague,
We invite you to attend the 14th Biennial Conference of the Canadian
Society for Biomechanics (CSB2006) to be held in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
at the University of Waterloo from August 16th to 19th, 2006. We will be
highlighting the influence of fundamental hypothesis-driven research on
"real world" applications with the theme "From Cell to Society". The
scientific program and reasonable registration and accommodation costs
make the meeting very appealing for all registrants, especially student
attendees.

CSB is a multidisciplinary group of biomechanists including engineers,
orthopaedic surgeons, rehabilitation medicine specialists, sports
biomechanists, physiotherapists, ergonomists, and kinesiologists to name a
few. The major research areas of the conference include Clinical
Biomechanics, Occupational Biomechanics, Sports Biomechanics, Muscle and
Tissue mechanics, Locomotion, Balance and Posture, and Biomechanical
Modelling. Conference symposia will focus on locomotion and occupational
health risks. There will be four New Investigator Awards sponsored by NDI
presented at the meeting.

The abstract Submission deadline is March 1, 2006. Please visit our
website for more information http://www.csb2006.uwaterloo.ca/

We are pleased to announce Northern Digital Inc. (NDI) as a major sponsor
of the conference. NDI is a producer of advanced measurement systems with
their international headquarters located in Waterloo.
