The Division of Physical Therapy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month academic position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications and experience. We are seeking a team-oriented person who wishes to work at one of the top ranked Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine. An academic doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, EdD) is preferred, however strong candidates with a post-professional DPT will be considered. Candidates must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in the state of Washington.
The ideal candidate will have research, teaching, and clinical expertise in musculoskeletal physical therapy, however those with expertise in electrotherapy physical therapy will be considered. Primary responsibilities include teaching in the area of musculoskeletal and orthopedic physical therapy, with additional responsibilities related to the education, supervision, and mentoring of both entry-level DPT and post-professional graduate students. There will be substantial opportunities and support for both clinical and research efforts, including access to a fully equipped motion analysis laboratory and collaborations within the Rehabilitation Sciences, as well as with the Departments of Bioengineering, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
