Driven by the needs of potential users, our team of engineers, scientists and clinicians is designing and developing technology to offset the effects of spinal cord injury, orthopedic injury, Parkinson's Disease and Cerebral Palsy. The successful applicant will join this highly motivated team of researchers to focus on biomechanical analysis of advanced lower extremity orthotic and prosthetic systems.

Biomechanical Engineer / Biomechanist: Requires MS in Bioengineering, Biomechanics or a related field, and experience in the use of kinematic, kinetic, and electromyographic techniques to analyze human movement patterns, appropriate to rank. Experience, appropriate to rank, with orthotic/prosthetic systems and in coordinating long-term projects, and good communication and writing skills are desired.

The primary responsibilities will be to perform experiments designed to evaluate advanced orthotic/prosthetic systems, analayze and interpret biomechanical data, and prepare detailed research reports. Other responsibilities will include interfacing with project sponsors and other research staff, coordinating project tasks, and completing tasks associated with human subjects research (informed consent, subject recruitment, safety procedures, documentation, etc).
