ASSISTANT PROFESSOR-EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY

Tenure Track Position Available

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
SCHOOL OF HEALTH, PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND RECREATION

The University of Nebraska at Omaha invites applications for a tenure
track position as an assistant professor in exercise physiology.
Anticipated starting date is August 14, 2006. The University and School
of HPER have a strong commitment to achieving diversity among faculty and
staff. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach courses in exercise physiology, measurement and evaluation,
laboratory methods, and research methods in an undergraduate and graduate
exercise science/physical education program; supervise graduate students;
conduct research and participate in scholarly activity; seek external
funding; provide departmental, college, university and professional
service.

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in exercise physiology or related area. ABD considered.
Experience teaching exercise physiology, measurement and evaluation, and
laboratory methods courses at the college or university level. Established
record of scholarly activity with a strong commitment to research.
Established record of grant submissions.

Rank and Salary:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

General Information:
The Exercise Science/Physical Education Program offers undergraduate
degrees in Exercise Science, Teacher Preparation, and Athletic Training.
It offers masters degrees in Exercise Science, Fitness and Wellness
Management, Pedagogy and Coaching. The Exercise Science/Physical
Education Program is located in the School of Health, Physical Education
and Recreation.
