fragility, animal models of osteoporosis, biomaterials, stress fractures,
bone microdamage, effect of drugs and trace elements on bone, models of
arthritis, bioresorbable materials and sex differences in bone fragility.
Mount Sinai Hospital Research Institute is a renowned centre of excellence
located in the downtown Toronto area in the heart of Toronto discovery
district, surrounded by three other research hospitals, MaRS Centre and the
University of Toronto.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:
- Developing current projects on models of stress fractures, sex
differences in bone adaptation to fatigue, and the effects of
deproteinization on bone quality.
- Supporting MSc and PhD students with mechanical testing techniques.
- Developing test protocols and jig design.
- Participating and supervising summer and co-op students in diverse
projects on animal models of bone disease, specifically mice models
(transgenic mice).

The applicant is expected to become involved in existing research projects
