PROGRAM IN PHYSICAL THERAPY AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY.

Faculty Positions

The DPT program at Columbia University is recruiting for 2 full-time
faculty positions. The preferred candidates should have an
investigative doctorate (PhD, EdD) or be in receipt of the degree at the
time of hire and be eligible for NYS licensure. An advanced master's
degree and/or a post-professional DPT with clinical specialization will
be considered along with licensure eligibility. Scholarship acumen and
teaching expertise in one or more of the following needs to be
demonstrated:
1. Musculoskeletal physical therapy, biomechanics, exercise physiology
2. Cardiopulmonary physical therapy, geriatrics and or general
practitioner competencies in conjunction with interest in assuming some
responsibility for the clinical education program.
Columbia University is a research-one institution with a strong academic
and clinical environment. The program is housed in the College of
Physicians and Surgeons on the Health Science campus, which consists of
the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health and Nursing.
The program has a nationally recognized and diverse faculty. Academic
salary and rank are commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit
package.

The positions are available anytime between January and July 2007.
