Hello biomechanics community,
I have a question I would like to pose to you all, specifically those who
use the MotionMonitor software to analyze trunk motions from Flock of Bird
sensors.

I am trying to get angle, angular velocity, and angular acceleration data.
I am using the Grood and Suntay angles but I noticed that the angular
velocities reported in the software do not synch up with the Grood and
Suntay angles.

My question is this. How do I get angular velocity and angular
acceleration from the Grood and Suntay angles in this software? Is it
appropriate to just take the derivative of the angle measurements to
calculate angular velocity or is there some reason this is not allowed (I
thought I read somewhere this is not appropriate)? Is there a more
preferred method to do this? I have read through a lot of the archives
related to this question but have not found specifically what I am looking
for.

I appreciate any advice you can give me.
