POSITION: Tenure-track faculty position in exercise physiology.

RANK: Assistant Professor

QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate required, two years postdoctoral
experience preferred; strong evidence of scholarly activities and
potential for extramural funding in basic/clinical research in areas
such as, but not limited to, the cellular and molecular aspects of
aging, integrative physiology of physical activity and chronic disease,
the role of exercise/physical activity in the prevention of chronic
disease over the lifespan. Preference will be given to candidates who
can contribute to the teaching and research agenda of a
multidisciplinary department that includes health promotion, disease
prevention, and the exercise sciences, and with an interest in and
potential for collaboration with existing university-wide
multidisciplinary programs and research centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a focused line of research and garner
continued funding for research, active professional involvement in the
field of exercise physiology, teach courses in exercise physiology and
related areas, develop coursework in area of expertise and/or courses
for appropriate campus-wide interdisciplinary programs, and advise
graduate student research. Service to the department, university,
profession, and the community is expected.
