Dear subscribers BIOMCH-L,

Since the inception of the ISB, we have been interested in familiarizing
members with other organizations and activities related to the field
of biomechanics. With this in mind, we would like to inform you of
the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine (AAAM) which
is a scientific professional organization devoted entirely to traffic
related injury control. This association has multidisciplinary membership
representing such diverse backgrounds as medicine, biomechanics, engineering,
epidemiology, statistics, education, law, and public policy, and combines
clinical, research, and academic backgrounds.

This association is also responsible for editing its official journal
"Accident Analysis and Prevention". The journal has provided its readers
with the most current coverage of accidental injury and damage, including
the pre-injury and immediate postinjury phases. Original research papers,
case studies and commentaries deal with the medical, educational, behavioral,
theoretical or empirical aspects of transportation accidents, as well as with
accidents at other sites.

Those interested in obtaining further information about the association
should contact:
