Junior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Biomechanics (30 month contract post), within the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching of students on the B.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Sciences, the B.Sc. Physical Education and other programmes supported by the Department. The appointed person would be expected to be able to contribute to the research output of the Biomechanics Research Unit within the Department. Proven experience in research publication, research supervision and research grant income generation will be an advantage. A good degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Health or another relevant discipline and a Postgraduate Degree in Biomechanics or a related area is essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Applicants should provide in their application details of their specific research and teaching expertise in biomechanics.



Salary Scale: €39,911 -- €49,924 p.a.
