The College of Nursing and Health Science at the University of Vermont is
seeking qualified individuals for three faculty positions in the Department
of Rehabilitation and Movement Science These are 9-month, tenure track
positions beginning August 2007. Appointments will be at the rank of
associate or assistant professor, commensurate with the successful
candidates' qualifications.

The University of Vermont is located in Burlington, a small city nestled on
the shores of Lake Champlain, proximate to the Green Mountains and 90 miles
from Montreal. The Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science
currently offers undergraduate majors in Athletic Training and Exercise and
Movement Science, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree.

We seek individuals with earned doctorates, current, or strong potential
for, extramural funding, and expertise in the area of movement or exercise
science. Although not required, certification as an athletic trainer or
licensure as a physical therapist would be considered desirable. The
positions offer opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching and
collaborative research.

Primary responsibilities of the positions include research and scholarship,
grantsmanship, teaching in area of expertise, student advising and service
to the University. We also seek evidence of ability to work independently
and cooperatively within and across departments. Salary is commensurate with
rank and experience.
