Dear Biomech-L Subscriber,

I would like to know if some gait analysis laboratory is accomplishing tests
for the modification of the thigh wand marker positioning of according to
the studies of Dr. Tishya Wren (IMPROVED TRACKING OF HIP ROTATION USING A
PATELLA MARKER - JEGM/2006) or the paper "Quantification of soft tissue
artefact in motion analysis by combining 3D fluoroscopy and
stereophotogrammetry: a study on two subjects" - Clinical Biomechanics 20
(2005) 320-329, Rita Stagni, Silvia Fantozzi, Angelo Cappello, Alberto
Leardini.

Simultaneous processings with markers on the proximal portion of the thigh
and close to the patella showed differences in the hip rotation, knee
varus/valgus and knee flexion.

Thank you for your attention.
Best regards,
