We are pleased to announce two awards for the Northeast American
Society of Biomechanics (NE-ASB) 2007. As a result, the deadline for
abstract submission and registration has been extended to FEBRUARY 7.

The awards are as follows:

$200 - The Motion Monitor award for excellence in research design and execution
$100 + biomechanics book - ASB award for best overall presentation

The deadline for abstract submission and FREE registration for the
Northeast American Society of Biomechanics (NEASB) conference is
FEBRUARY 7. Please go to
http://www.hhp.umd.edu/KNES/faculty/jkshim/NEASB for registration and
abstract submission instructions.

The conference intends to provide a welcoming environment for
graduate students to present their research and get feedback from
peer students and faculty. The theme of this year's conference is
"BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN BIOMECHANICS AND MOTOR CONTROL". Abstracts
from outside of the conference theme are strongly encouraged and will
be accepted.

Respected scholars in Biomechanics and Motor Control including Dr.
STEVEN STANHOPE and Dr. VLADIMIR ZATSIORSKY will give the keynote
addresses. We are also happy to announce that Dr. MARY RODGERS (past
president of International Society of Biomechanics) will deliver the
opening remark and Dr. MARK LATASH (past president of International
Society of Motor Control) will deliver a tutorial on "Uncontrolled
manifold analysis in studies of human posture". In addition to podium
and poster presentations, the conference will feature FREE LABVIEW
TUTORIALS by a few experts from National Instruments Corp.
