The Second Annual South East Biomechanics Conference will be held APRIL
19-APRIL 21, 2007 at Duke University in Durham, NC. Registration is now
open for SEBC 2007 and is quickly filling up. Remember there is no
registration fee for the conference and you can register using the
following link: http://klab.surgery.duke.edu/SEBC. The major aims for this
regional ASB meeting are to provide a welcoming environment for students
to present and receive feedback on their research; and, to create an
informal scientific environment that encourages interaction between
students and faculty. The theme this year is "BIOMECHANICS: from Injury
Prevention to Performance Enhancement" which will be highlighted with
keynote addresses by Dr. Irene Davis (University of Delaware) and Dr.
Farshid Guilak (Duke University, Editor in Chief Journal of Biomechanics).
We will 7 podium sessions including three faculty talks as well as tours
of some of the biomechanics research labs at Duke University. A copy of
our conference program is available on the conference website. If you have
any questions please contact one of the conference organizers. We look
forward to seeing you in Durham in April!
