Good afternoon:

I was wondering if any fellow researchers had experience with radiolucent potting materials (i.e., minimal amount of radiation absorption)?

Most PMMA bone cements are radiopaque, as is Denstone, and Bondo contains a large amount of talc powder, which I'm guessing makes it radiopaque also. The literature does make mention of radiolucent PMMA, but I've yet to find an exact reference to the utilized material. Fiberglass would likely work, but I would also like to hear some suggestions from the Biomch-L community.

Thanks,
JD Johnston
