Yi-Xian Qin, is happy top announce that the Eighth International Bone
Fluid Flow Workshop (8th IBFF) will be held on September 13th and
14th, 2007 at the Stony Brook Manhattan Campus in New York City. The
focus of the IBFF workshops is on the role of fluid flow in bone
physiology, to include such relevant topics as bone tissue
engineering and clinical practice, cellular and molecular response to
bone fluid flow, and imaging and experimental approaches to study and
quantitate bone fluid flow. The objective of the 8th IBFF workshop is
particularly designed to promote international exchange and
collaborations among researchers in this promising research area.
The theme for this IBFF will be the Frontier Research on Bone Growth,
Anabolic Potentials, and Tissue Engineering. The time is arranged to
be convenient for attendees to go to ASBMR 07 after the Workshop. The
program will consist of invited lectures and selected 15 minute oral
presentations of submitted abstracts, ample time for discussion, a
poster session, and social functions to promote informal scientific
interaction. A major aim for this meeting is to provide an informal
atmosphere to foster discussion and the exchange of new ideas,
theories, techniques and collaborations for an expected turnout of
approximately 80 participants.
