Hello all,

I am working in the field of spinal biomechanics. During my literature search, I came across various papers which mention 'interspecimen variability' in human cadaveric spines. However, I have not found details on what exactly means by interspecimen variability.

Also, I remember reading that animal cadaveric spines have lesser interspecimen variability (when come to human cadaveric spines). What are the possible reasons for this difference?

Would anyone be able to explain or direct me to some book/article that speaks about what are factors are considered for when speaking about interspecimen variability.

Thanks in advance,
