Postdoctoral Opportunity

Biological Assessment of Mechanical Exposures Laboratory, Health Effects
Laboratory Division, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NIOSH,
Morgantown, WV

A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the cellular
mechanisms underlying vascular and neural changes occurring in response
to vibration exposure and mechanical loading. The successful candidate
will have a PhD in Physiology, Biology, Neurobiology, or a related
Biological field; and will function as a member of a multidisciplinary
research team using a variety of physiological, molecular and anatomical
techniques to characterize the plastic and degenerative events
associated with in vivo exposures to segmental or whole body vibration
and loading. The salary for this position will be in the $40-60K range
(based on experience). Applicants must be U.S. citizens or Permanent
Residents.

The CDC-NIOSH is a Federal research institute located adjacent to the
West Virginia University School of Medicine which houses the Center for
Neuroscience, the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute, and
the West Virginia University Center for Interdisciplinary Research in
Cardiovascular Sciences (CIRCS).
