Hello All,

The University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Health, Physical
Education and Recreation seeks to hire temporary full or part time
instructors to fill vacancies during the 2007-2008 academic year.
There are possible vacancies in courses such as Human Biomechanics,
Statistics & Research Methods in Exercise Science, Applied and
Experimental Exercise Science, Research and Evaluation in Health
Sciences, Sport Science Applications and Principles of Strength &
Conditioning Programs. These positions are contingent upon student
enrollment and availability of funding.

Applicant must have a minimum of an earned Master's degree in human
biomechanics, physical education, exercise science, physical therapy,
or athletic training , a master's thesis or record of reviewed
publication which is centered in topics normally associated with
human biomechanics (kinetics, kinematics, statics), assigned
responsibility for teaching at least one semester course in
biomechanics or an area closely related to human biomechanics in a
college professional or pre-professional degree program; demonstrated
ability to teach biomechanics. 3 or more years of collegiate teaching
experience. In addition to the required qualifications, the preferred
qualifications include an earned doctorate degree in human
biomechanics, physical education, exercise science, physical therapy,
or athletic training Preferred will have a doctoral degree in human
biomechanics, physical education, exercise science, physical therapy
or athletic training.

The University of Minnesota Duluth is a comprehensive regional
university of 10,000 students located at the western end of Lake
Superior, approximately 150 miles north of Minneapolis. There are 20
full-time and 16 part-time faculty members in the Department of
Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER).
