Shriners Hospitals for Children in Tampa Florida is seeking a Physical
Therapist to become part of our Motion Analysis Laboratory team. This
position is half-time and is benefits eligible. The Physical Therapist
is responsible for physical examination of patients, marker placement,
patient management during data collection, history review, data
interpretation, report generation, and presentation to referring
physician. He/She also assists with research in the Motion Analysis
Laboratory, providing clinical expertise, assisting with data reduction
and presentation. The Physical Therapist also leads research and
educational projects when appropriate to the therapist's specialty area.
The successful candidate will demonstrate and maintain current knowledge
and skills necessary to provide care/services appropriate to the age of
the patients served (infancy to young adult) and must utilize the
principles of growth and development when identifying age-specific

* Bachelor degree in Physical Therapy required. Masters degree and
at least one year experience in Pediatrics, Computerized Gait Analysis,
and/or Orthopaedics preferred.
* Current State of Florida Physical Therapy license and BLS
certification required.
* Strong organizational, technical, and computer skills, excellent
written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both
independently and within a multidisciplinary team are essential

Since 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children has been providing expert,
compassionate medical care and treatment for children with orthopaedic
conditions, spinal cord or burn injuries. Its other objectives are the
promotion of medical education and research related to the causes of
these conditions in children. There are 22 Shriners Hospitals for
Children throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada, 19 of which
provide orthopaedic care, including three with specialty spinal cord
units. Three hospitals are devoted to the physical and psychological
treatment of children with severe burns. One hospital combines all
disciplines, helping patients with orthopaedic conditions, spinal cord
injuries and burn injuries.

patient, parent, or legal guardian for any care the child receives at
one of our hospitals. With our family-centered patient care, treatment
plans are based on the child's medical and emotional needs, and are not
restricted by arbitrary insurance limitations. Moreover, Shriners
Hospitals does not accept reimbursement from any third party private
insurer or government payer for medical services performed at Shriners
