I am interested in new techniques for measuring spasticity and the stretch
reflex response. Can anyone point me to information related to the effects
of varying subject orientation on sensitivity of the stretch reflex system?
Perhaps changing orientation changes the subject's level of relaxation, or
changes the gravity component, thus effecting the sensitivity?

More specifically, I am using torque and EMG data elicited with
isokinetic-dynamometry in normals and MS patients. I have already analyzed
data from 30 MS patients and 11 normals. Data suggests that this method may
be effective and promising. Comments, suggestions are much appreciated!

Thanks.
