Job Description: A one year, full-time biomechanics laboratory research
assistant and lectureship in Department of Exercise & Nutrition
Sciences, School of Public Health and Health Professions, University at
Buffalo. The research assistant activities involve the collection and
processing of human motion data. Desirable candidates will have
demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in rigid body kinematics,
dynamics and electromyography. The lectureship will involve sharing
instructional duties in one undergraduate and two graduate biomechanics
courses, commensurate with the candidate's educational background.

Qualifications: The preferred qualification is a Ph.D. in Exercise
Science, Kinesiology, Bioengineering or related field with expertise in
biomechanics and experience working in a human movement laboratory. A
minimum of a master's degree (ABD) with specific biomechanics research
and teaching experience will also be considered for this position.
Working knowledge of major laboratory equipment, including force plates,
electromyography and motion capture systems (preferred Vicon) is
required. Programming skills in MATLAB and LabView is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required and
documented teaching experience is preferred.
