For the European Headquarters, based in Winterthur (Switzerland), we are looking for a Project Manager Experimental Biomechanics.

Your main responsibilities include:

- As a member of interdisciplinary teams you support recon development, manufacturing and brand management projects by analyzing complex systems regarding material, strength, process or function related risks
- Biomechanics, static and dynamic structual testing and performance evaluation of implants
- Collaborate with different internal departments (Development, Regulatory Affairs, Brand Management and others), our Corporate Headquarter in Warsaw/USA, universities and surgeons
- Acting as a strong leader of research projects that support market needs
- Communication of own work to the public (publication, congresses, surgeons meetings)

Your Qualifications and Experience should be:

- Professional degree such as MS or PhD in mechanical/biomechanical engineering with a strong background in mechanics and materials science.
- Experience in planning and performing static and dynamic structural tests
- Experience in medical device/orthopedics and/or biomechanics environment preferred
- Good understanding of project management and their methods
- Understanding of technical medical language to interact with internal and external customers
- Understanding of research, clinical and regulatory processes
- Proficient knowledge in German and English (spoken and written)
- Good documentation skills

For the European Headquarters, based in Winterthur (Switzerland), we are looking for a Project Manager Computational Biomechanics.

You are responsible for supporting recon development and brand management with biomechanical studies by means of numerical methods (e.g. Finite Element Analyses) and conduct basic research for recon in the area of structure analysis & optimization and bone adaptation.

This job opportunity requires the following competencies:

Your main responsibilities:

- Leading of research projects that support market needs
- Assist peers in R&D with Joint Function related data
- Participation in meetings, member of development teams
- Communication of own work to the public (congresses, surgeons meetings)
- Collaboration with universities and surgeons
- Representation of the Zimmer Research team to an internal and external audience

Your Qualifications and Experience:

You have a minimum 2 years experience in the medical industry, preferably in the orthopaedic field. Knowledge in biomechanics would be an asset. You obtained a Mechanical/Biomechanical Engineering grade (Master or Bachelor in Science) and have some experience in Project management within a multidisciplinary and international team. You understand programming languages such as Matlab or similar. Your command of spoken and written English and German is proficient.
