Associate Research Professor In Injury Biomechanics


The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Pratt School of
Engineering at Duke University invites applications for a non-tenure
track Associate Research Professor. This is a senior level position
requiring significant experience and a track record of publications and
research accomplishments. Expertise in cadaver experiments, finite
element modeling, optimization, and constitutive modeling are also
required. Preference will be given to candidates with a proven record of
extramural funding. Specific responsibilities include: 1) coordination
and execution of currently funded research in pediatric injury
biomechanics, 2) presentation of research results through journal
publications and conference proceedings, 3) leading new and independent
research initiatives in injury biomechanics, including writing grants
and contracts, 4) supervising the activities of graduate students,
research associates and research assistants.
