Dear colleagues,

The online manuscript submission system for 'Sports Biomechanics (SB)' is
now up and running. The URL for the SB's Manuscript Central site is
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/rspb. Check the journal homepage
(http://www.informaworld.com/rspb) for the list of recently published issues
and articles.

To submit a manuscript for publication in SB, you will need to create your
account first. By default, you will be given the author and reviewer
previliges. It is important for you to supply up to five keywords that best
describe your interest areas. There are a set of keywords registered but you
may enter new keywords. I'd like to encourage all competent biomechanists to
register on the system so that I can utilize your expertises in the
reviewing process. With your support, SB will grow into a great asset to the
field of sport biomechanics and biomechanics in general.

SB is a relatively young journal, in its 6th year of circulation, dedicated
to sport (and related) biomechanics. SB is the official journal of the
International Society of Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS) and is published by
Taylor & Francis. SB is currently covered by several Thomson Scientific's
products such as Journal Citation Reports(R) and SCI Expanded(TM) and
included in databases such as InformaWorld, Medline and SPORTDicus. Although
the impact factor is not available yet, SB has been well perceived by
biomechanists in the area of exercise & sport science (Knudson & Chow,
2007). The types of accepted manuscripts are Original Research, Reviews
(normally by invitation only), Teaching, and New Methods and Theoretical
Perspectives. Currently, three issues are published a year but SB will
become quarterly no later than 2009.

The author guidelines are available at the abovementioned Manuscript Central
site. I look forward to receiving your manuscripts and your contributions to
the journal.
