Hello Biomch-L'ers,

I am attempting to determine muscular fatigue before, during, and after running exercise using EMG. Our pre/post data was analyzed via FFT in isometric conditions. However, I am attempting to analyze the treadmill running data without much luck. Stationarity can not be attained through either a FFT or a short-time FFT. The literature (and a very helpful prior discussion in the Biomch-L archives) suggest the use of a Choi-Williams transform. Though I can only find this applied to cyclical lifting, and other movements slower than running or cycling. Has anyone attempted to use a Choi-Williams transform in this way? Are there any suggestions as to its application or reasons why it cannot be used in this instance?
