Colleagues-

In an effort to not conflict with abstract deadlines from other upcoming
professional meetings (we understand how hard it is to get multiple
abstracts out to multiple meetings at the same time), we have decided to
move the deadline for abstract submission to the ACL Retreat IV from Dec
1, 2007 to Dec 14, 2007. Please see the below announcement for full
details.

CHANGED DEADLINE!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
(Abstracts are now due Dec 14, 2007)

ACL Research Retreat, IV
ACL INJURIES: THE GENDER BIAS
April 3 rd - 5th, 2008
Greensboro, North Carolina

MEETING DETAILS:
This meeting will feature presentations by well known experts in the field
and 15-minute podium presentations of research relating to gender bias in
ACL injuries. Significant time will be provided for group discussion
following each keynote and each group of podium presentations. At the
conclusion of the meeting our goal will be to revisit and update the
consensus statement from the 2006 research retreat based on progress in
the field.

CONTENT:
All abstracts must be research-based and be related to the issue of the
gender bias in ACL injuries. Topics relating to structural,
biomechanical, neuromuscular or hormonal factors, and covering areas of
screening, prevention and rehabilitation would all be appropriate.

ABSTRACTS RECENTLY PRESENTED ELSEWHERE (WITHIN THE PREVIOUS YEAR) MAY BE
SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW.
(Please indicate at the bottom of the abstract where the abstract was
previously presented)

FORMAT:
Abstracts should be one (1) page in length with one-inch margins on all
sides. No less than a 11 point font should be used. The title should be
centered on the top line in Capital letters. The author(s) and their
affiliations should be placed on the second and third lines, respectively.
The following section headings should be in Capital Letters and left
justified: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.
NOTE: Abstracts that do not comply with this format will be returned.

SUBMISSION:
An original and one blinded copy of the abstract (authors and affiliations
removed) with ?acl abstract? in the subject line should be emailed to:
anrl@uncg.edu

Abstracts are now due Dec 14, 2007. Abstracts will be reviewed for both
content and scientific merit and notification will be given to authors no
later than Jan 10, 2008. Please include your mailing and email address
