Translational Research in Aging Training Program Short Term Predoctoral
Training Slots

The Harvard-Wide Translational Research in Aging Training Program
provides several funded short-term (8-12 weeks) research opportunities
(clinical and basic science) for pre-doctoral candidates (M.D. and / or
Ph.D.). A stipend is provided through a National Institute on Aging
Training grant.

The specific area of research may relate to any field encompassed
within the biomedical / healthcare framework, but must address some
aspect of aging. Candidates may choose their mentor or request to be
matched with a mentor from our list of participating mentors.

Successful applicants must engage in 8-12 consecutive weeks of research.
This requirement makes summer research the most desirable for the
majority of applicants. Those choosing to engage in research during the
summer will also have the opportunity to participate in the Boston
Geriatrics Research Scholars didactic program.

Interested candidates please send the following to Dr. Konstantin
Khrapko (khrapko@hms.harvard.edu) and Kathryn Irvine Tasker
(kathryn_irvine@hms.harvard.edu) no later then 3/1/2008. Funding can
begin 5/1/2008.

Application Materials

3. A signed letter of support from your mentor
