View Full Version : Shipping tissues internationally

12-06-2007, 06:20 AM

We are hoping to ship rabbit vertebrae from Canada to Hong Kong. Does
anyone have experience in shipping tissues internationally that they
could offer some advice?

We need to make sure that the specimens arrive in viable condition,
however, most carriers prohibit the use of ice (dry or wet). The
vertebrae themselves are small and can fit inside a plastic test-tube

There are also a number of permits that are needed and we have to make
sure they are all in place as a delay in customs would be disastrous.

Any shipping tips and/or suggestions for carriers?

As usual, I will post a collection of the replies.
