View Full Version : OpenSim 1.1 Software Available

12-10-2007, 11:52 AM
It is my pleasure to announce the release of the OpenSim software.
OpenSim is freely available to the biomechanics community and enables
advanced modeling and simulation of human and animal movement,
including inverse dynamics analysis and forward dynamic simulation.
The software provides a platform on which the biomechanics community
can build a library of simulations that can be exchanged, tested,
analyzed, and improved through a world-wide collaboration. The
software, complete models, and example simulations are available at
the project website: https://simtk.org/home/opensim. The project
page also includes tutorials to help you get started with the

OpenSim version 1.1 is a substantial enhancement building on the
release of OpenSim 1.0 this past August. Since then over 400 people
have begun to use the software for research and teaching. We have
held two training courses, and are planning additional training
courses in the future. Please contact me if you are interested in
