View Full Version : Foot/insole switch for measureing ground contact times

Hi All,

I'm looking to set up some research using EMG (Mega ME6000) to
investigate neural development during the stretch-shorting cycle in
children and adults. To do this I want to synchronise EMG data with
ground contact during locomotive tasks including walking, running and
sprinting. However, I'm not sure what (if any) suitable products are
available on the market. I was thinking of using some kind of
foot/insole switch that would detect ground contact during exercise.
However, I need something that is capable and robust enough to measure
ground contact time during rapid forceful movements such as sprinting
and something that has the capacity to be synchronised with EMG data

Does anybody know of any suitable products?
