Date of review of applications approaching for the following position.

Physical Education (exercise science &/or motor development emphasis):
Assistant Professor, tenure-track in Dept. of Physical Education, Health
and Recreation, Western Washington University, beginning September 2008.
Requirements: Doctorate or ABD in Motor Development or Exercise Science
related field (Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Human Performance
etc.); capacity to teach a range of core courses in the Exercise and
Sport Science program and in the Physical Education program; evidence
of, or demonstrated potential for, successful teaching at the university
level, scholarly contribution to the field, and professional
involvement/service. Preferred: experience with student involvement
(e.g., advising, student-faculty research, mentoring); ability and/or
experience working with a diverse student body and staff; capacity to
seek internal and external research and/or service funding; and,
certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National
Strength and Conditioning Association. Submit letter of application;
vita; official graduate school transcripts; and three letters of
