Shriners Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia, PA, is a leading
pediatric hospital specializing in the treatment of children with
neuromuscular disorders including spinal cord injury and cerebral palsy.
We are seeking qualified applicants for Director of the Motion Analysis
Laboratory (MAL) in Philadelphia.



A doctor of philosophy degree in Biomechanics, Engineering discipline,
or allied health and at least 10 years experience working in an MAL is
required. Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational,
management and communication skills. The position involves the
management of a high volume, dynamic clinical and research laboratory.
Prior experience working with populations with spinal cord injury and/or
cerebral palsy and other neuromuscular conditions is desired. The
position also carries a significant research component. The ability to
manage clinical research projects and a track record of securing
extramural funding is desirable as is the ability to develop independent
areas of research inquiry. Opportunities are available for an adjunct
faculty appointment at several local affiliated universities.
