UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON
DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY

POSITION VACANCY: Assistant or Associate Professor (tenure track) with
research credentials in psychological
and/or physiological mechanisms associated with some area of motor behavior
(e.g., motor learning, motor
control). The Department of Kinesiology offers undergraduate preparation in
Physical Therapy, Occupational
Therapy, Exercise Science, and Physical Education. The department also offers
the M.S. in Therapeutic Science,
and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Kinesiology. An entry-level masters degree program
in physical therapy is under
development.

BEGINNING DATE: August 29, 1994 or January 13, 1995. This is a full-time,
nine-month appointment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain independent research program.
2. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Kinesiology.
3. Develop and teach graduate courses and supervise graduate students.
4. Fulfill service expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Earned doctorate or equivalent with expertise in motor control or motor
control/behavior.
2. Eligibility for Physical Therapy licensure in Wisconsin preferred.
3. Evidence of scholarly productivity.
4. Potential to obtain extramural funding.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
